VASER HD Liposuction for Legs

VASER HD Liposuction for Legs

Liposuction of the legs is a cosmetic surgery operation to remove unsightly excess fat masking the relief of the ankles and calves giving the typical appearance of "post" legs.

The ultrasounds generated by this technology will have a major effect on re-tensioning your skin and helping to give shape to your legs by removing the fat surrounding the natural reliefs of your anatomy.

Objectives of liposuction of the legs, thighs, knees and ankles?

By puncture points often located in the natural folds of the skin, the aspiration of fat is carried out using very fine cannulas. The objective of the intervention is multiple. Liposuction or liposuction of the legs makes it possible to reduce the excess fat present on the legs in an effective and lasting way. Unsightly excess fat corrected by liposuction of the knees, thighs and ankles show a net result after 6 to 8 weeks. The inner thigh and the knee are often treated simultaneously in order to obtain a more slender appearance of the leg. VASER technology will allow you to sculpt your silhouette to remove excess fat areas and restore curves to your legs. It will also effectively treat lipoedema.

Why consider liposuction of the legs?

VASER HD Liposuction for Legs bordeaux
Do you have localized fat overload in the calves and/or ankles? The natural and fusiform reliefs of your calves have disappeared and you cannot find them despite a healthy lifestyle and regular physical exercise? Do you suffer from Lipoedema, the “post” leg disease and would you like an effective and lasting solution? Do you find that your knees are the seat of an unsightly fat overload? Doctor Delobaux, cosmetic surgeon specializing in leg liposuction in Bordeaux will help you with VASER HD technology to sculpt your silhouette to remove excess fat areas and restore shape to your legs. Aesthetic leg surgery will also effectively treat lipoedema.

The course of a leg liposuction procedure

On the day of the operation, the surgeon makes precise drawings of the areas to be treated, this gives you the opportunity to ask him the last questions relating to the operation. The medical (anesthesiologist) and paramedical team then takes care of you and accompanies you to the operating room. The intervention takes place under general anesthesia and lasts 45 min to 1h30. After the anesthesia, small incisions of a few millimeters are made to start the infiltration of a saline solution with adrenaline and a local anesthetic to reduce bleeding and increase your comfort on waking. The surgeon then carries out a passage of the ultrasound probe under the skin in the deep and superficial fat to liquefy it and facilitate its removal as well as the re-tensioning of your skin. The fat is then aspirated using a conventional cannula and in a gentle and non-traumatic way since it has been liquefied beforehand. This allows a significant reduction in edema, bruising and bleeding compared to conventional liposuction.

Contraindication

It is advisable to present a satisfactory state of health to consider liposuction of the knees, ankles or thighs. This is the case for any surgery requiring anesthesia. If the patient has fat that is too hard and/or too deep, he can be referred to liposculpture, an advanced version of liposuction or liposuction.

Pain

Beyond a sensitivity and a feeling of tension particularly important at the level of the calves, the liposuction of the legs can cause a very moderate pain. A simple analgesic can then be prescribed.

Post-operative follow-up

When you return home, complete and effortless rest will be observed and a work stoppage of 7 to 15 days is recommended. You will resume sports activities after 4 to 6 weeks and avoid all tobacco consumption and sun exposure. You will see your surgeon several times for check-ups. A compression garment will be worn for 4 to 6 weeks after the operation. The pain may persist for a few days but you will have all the prescriptions necessary for your comfort.

The expected results

The results are visible the day after the operation. It will be necessary to wait between 1 and 3 months for the edema to disappear completely in order to be able to appreciate the final result which gives a refined appearance to the silhouette of the knees and legs which are no longer continuous with the thighs; obtain a thin ankle, making it easier to wear clothes...
