Hyaluronic Acid Treatment in Bordeaux

Hyaluronic Acid Treatment in Bordeaux
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally present in the cells of the human body. It is responsible for the hydration and texture of the skin. Studies show that it gradually decreases with age and this decrease triggers the appearance of wrinkles and loss of facial volume. When hyaluronic acid gel is injected into the body, precisely under the skin, it corrects and fills in wrinkles; it also restores and replenishes lost facial volumes. Hyaluronic acid is a revolutionary, non-surgical wrinkle treatment that helps fight the first signs of aging. This treatment is one of the most practiced acts of aesthetic medicine in the world. It is practiced daily by Doctor Alexis Delobaux in his office in Bordeaux.

Medical principle of hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our skin which is fundamental because it plays a role in the hydration of our skin by attracting water. It is also present in the joints, cartilages and the eye. It is used in aesthetic medicine and is obtained by biotechnological processes making it possible to obtain synthetic products identical to those produced by the body. The injected products are therefore perfectly tolerated and resorbable. There is therefore no risk of allergy. Several factors must be taken into account in the context of treatment with hyaluronic acid. These factors depend on the duration of the results and the volumizing effect. The degree of elasticity and viscosity: a cross-linking agent, BDDE (Butyl Diglycidyl Ether), is used to bind the HA molecules together, increasing the elasticity and viscosity of the gel. The higher the degree of cross-linking, the longer the treatment effect will be. Particle size: the larger the particle size, the greater the volumizing effect.

Which parts of the body can be treated with hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid injections are used in the treatment of: Face and neck wrinkles: nasolabial folds, bitterness lines, expression lines, perioral wrinkles, etc. In the remodeling of the lips by redrawing the contour of the lips In the filling of the cutaneous depressions: cheekbones, dark circles, cheeks, forehead, oval of the face. In the correction of imperfections of the nose: to fade a bump, improve the tip of the nose... In the rehydration of the skin by restoring a boost of radiance and preventing skin aging.

Hyaluronic Acid Treatment
A consultation with Doctor Alexis Delobaux must be carried out beforehand in order to establish a diagnosis and a treatment plan. We systematically take medical photographs. During this consultation, an estimate will be made by the doctor, followed by informed consent. A period of reflection of 15 days must be respected between the consultation and the injection session. The injection treatment will be carried out in our aesthetic medicine practice in Bordeaux. You will be comfortably seated in a medical chair. Your face will be cleansed and cleansed. The injection will be carried out by the doctor, Dr. Delobaux according to the treatment plan defined beforehand. The objective is to achieve a topping of the area of skin to be treated. The procedure lasts from 10 to 45 minutes depending on the number of areas to be treated. Our nurse will then give you a makeover so that you can resume your activities.

The side effects

Once the injection has been made, a small reaction oedema, skin redness, erythema, itching or small bruises may appear, more or less severe depending on the type of product injected. These are not complications but normal and classic reactions that will disappear spontaneously after a few hours or a few days. Allergic reactions are extremely rare but can exist. Granulomas, small indurated nodules, more or less sensitive, sometimes visible, may appear on the treated parts. This is an extremely rare side effect. They fade spontaneously in a few weeks and correspond to localized inflammation.

Precautions and contraindications to hyaluronic acid injections

The return to social life is immediate. However, it is preferable to remain at rest for the first 6 hours, avoiding any major physical effort. We will also avoid alcohol consumption, exposure to the sun, anti-inflammatories, anti-aggregation treatments, artificial UV rays, saunas and hammams for a few days. There are a few cases where injections are contraindicated. In case of: Active skin or general infection Pregnancy and breast-feeding Autoimmune diseases Taking antiplatelet and corticosteroid treatment

Hyaluronic acid: results and duration of results

The results are immediate and can be seen as soon as the injection of the products is finished. However, it will take several days for its effects to be complete. The duration of the effects of hyaluronic acid varies from patient to patient. Natural resorption occurs on average in 6 to 12 months, a phenomenon depending on the characteristics of the product, the patient and the quantity used. It is therefore necessary, in order to have an optimal result, to carry out maintenance sessions 2 to 3 times a year.

Things to remember about hyaluronic acid treatments

Safe and completely naturally absorbable Almost immediate results Immediate return to social life Easy to inject Few side effects

After hyaluronic acid injections

The consequences are simple, the traces non-existent or very discreet and no social eviction is recommended. Any traces at the injection points are camouflaged by make-up available at the surgical centre. We do not recommend the practice of intense sport and strong sun exposure for about ten days after the treatment. There is no particular care to perform after an injection of fillers. Professional activities are possible the next day. The result is visible from the first days and takes place in 15 days. The injected areas may be the site of irregularities to the touch which always fade while the hyaluronic acid is distributed in the tissues. The average duration is 18 months with residual products of 12 to 24 months depending on the area where it is injected. It is important to note that like any medical treatment, complications are possible but extremely rare. Those feared are tissue necrosis following an injection into a blood vessel, hyaluronic acid including this vessel. There may be a healing reaction around the injected area manifested by a "granuloma", a kind of small ball in depth. This is exceptional and removed through a small incision. An exhaustive list will be given to you during the initial assessment.
